Lasagna Pasta
This one-pot lasagna pasta takes all the delicious, comforting flavors of lasagna and simplifies it into a single-pan dish. With creamy ricotta, rich marinara sauce, and hearty ground beef, it’s an easy, family-friendly dinner that tastes just as indulgent as traditional lasagna. Plus, there’s no layering or baking required—just one pot and minimal cleanup!

Ingredients You’ll Need
1 tbsp olive oil |
1 yellow onion, diced |
1 tsp oregano |
1 tsp basil |
1 tsp parsley |
1 tsp red pepper (to taste) |
Salt and pepper (to taste) |
1 head garlic, minced |
1 lb ground beef |
2 tbsp tomato paste |
2.5 cups beef broth |
1/2 cup heavy cream |
24 oz Rao’s marinara sauce |
1 lb rigatoni |
Handful of freshly torn basil |
For the Ricotta Mixture: |
7.5 oz ricotta |
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella |
1/2 cup grated parmesan |
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped |
Instructions
- Heat olive oil over medium/low heat in a large pan.
- Add the diced onion, oregano, basil, parsley, red pepper, salt, and pepper. Stir and sauté for a few minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add ground beef to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and no longer pink.
- Make a small well in the center of the pan, and add the tomato paste. Let it cook for a couple of minutes before mixing it into the beef mixture.
- Pour in the beef broth, add a pinch of salt and pepper, and stir.
- Add Rao’s marinara sauce and heavy cream. Stir to combine.
- Add uncooked rigatoni to the pan and stir to coat with the sauce mixture.
- Cover the pan with a lid and simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente.
- While the pasta is cooking, combine ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, and chopped parsley in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Once the pasta is cooked, stir in a handful of torn basil leaves.
- Taste for seasoning and adjust as needed.
- Spoon a dollop of the ricotta mixture on top of each serving, sprinkle with extra parmesan, and enjoy!
